Defense Minister Khawaja Asif Comments on Donald Trump’s Inaugural Speech and Pakistan-US Relations

Defense Minister Khawaja Asif stated that former U.S. President Donald Trump delivered a constructive speech after taking office. He emphasized that Pakistan has no concerns regarding Imran Khan or the United States. He also mentioned that if any statement from a U.S. representative arises, Pakistan is capable of handling it.
In a conversation with a private TV channel, Asif expressed that Pakistani politicians have often tied their desires to the U.S., even though Washington has its own priorities and interests. He further added that PTI (Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf) cannot be trusted, and that discussions on terrorism took place during a meeting between Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa and Barrister Gohar, where the Army Chief advised that political matters should be discussed with the politicians.
Meanwhile, U.S. President Donald Trump took the oath of office and delivered a speech in which he sharply criticized the policies of the Joe Biden administration, declaring that under his leadership, the United States would experience progress.
Additionally, President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif extended their congratulations to Donald Trump on assuming the presidency.
