Islamabad:Danyal Chaudhry, a leader of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), has accused the founder of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) party of being part of a campaign to recognize Israel and further its objectives in the region. He made these remarks during a press conference in Faisalabad, highlighting a recent article in the Jerusalem Post that he claims supports this narrative.
Chaudhry praised former Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s speech at the United Nations, describing it as one of the best in the past 75 years. He emphasized that Sharif’s address boldly condemned Israeli atrocities, particularly in front of global leaders and the Israeli delegation, marking a significant moment for Pakistan’s stance on Palestine.
The PML-N leader noted that Sharif also addressed the issue of Kashmir, advocating for the right to self-determination for Kashmiris and expressing strong sentiments against India. He stated that the Prime Minister effectively fulfilled his responsibilities on the international stage.
Chaudhry further alleged that a campaign is underway to promote the PTI founder’s agenda in alignment with Israel’s goals, citing coverage from both an Israeli newspaper and the Jerusalem Post as evidence. He condemned political figures who resort to abusive rhetoric, insisting that such behavior should not be encouraged.
