Curfew Imposed on Public Transport in Kachi and Musa Khel Districts of Balochistan Amid Security Concerns

In response to the deteriorating law and order situation in Balochistan’s Kachi and Musa Khel districts, authorities have imposed a travel ban on all public transport and trucks from 5 PM to 5 AM.

According to a statement issued by the Deputy Commissioner of Kachi, following orders from the Balochistan Home Department, traffic traveling from Sibi to Quetta has been halted at the Kolpur checkpoint from 5 PM until 5 AM the next day. Vehicles will only be allowed to resume their journey after 5 AM.

Similarly, all traffic traveling from Loralai to Dera Ghazi Khan will be halted at the Kingri checkpoint from 6 PM to 5 AM. Travel will be permitted only after 5 AM.

This measure comes after a series of violent incidents targeting public transport in Balochistan, including recent attacks where six passengers were shot and killed after being forcibly removed from a bus in Gwadar. These tragic events have heightened security concerns in the region, prompting authorities to take swift action to safeguard both passengers and transport vehicles.
