Crackdown on Afghan Refugees Begins in Chaman Following Federal Government’s Orders

Chaman:In compliance with federal government directives, the district administration in Chaman has launched a vigorous crackdown against Afghan refugees. Under the special instructions of Deputy Commissioner Chaman, Habib Ahmed, Assistant Commissioner Imtiaz Ali Baloch is overseeing the operation, which is being led by Risaldar Haji Abdul Jabbar, along with Naib Risaldar Abdul Sadiq and Dafadar Muhammad Shafique, in coordination with the Levies Force.
The crackdown has begun in various areas, including sensitive locations such as Rahman Kahal Road, Sheen Talab, Bypass, and other regions, with strict checking being carried out. The Levies Force has initiated random checks of identity cards in homes, shops, markets, and checkpoints, causing panic and fear among Afghan refugees.
The district administration has issued a stern warning to all illegal Afghan refugees, urging them to voluntarily leave Pakistan and return to Afghanistan with dignity, or face strict legal actions. The sudden operation has caused a wave of anxiety among the refugees and created a sense of tension in the city.
Authorities have stated that the operation will continue, and no Afghan citizen living illegally in the area will be spared. Meanwhile, the public has largely supported the administration’s move, although the issue of deporting Afghan refugees continues to be a topic of debate among various circles.
