Court Orders Decision in 3 Days on British Citizen’s Name in Passport Control List
Lahore: The Lahore High Court has ordered a decision within three days on a petition challenging the inclusion of a British citizen’s name in the Passport Control List (PCL). The petition was filed by a woman holding British nationality, who argued that her name had been added to the PCL without any valid reason.
The case was heard by Justice Shujaat Ali Khan, who was informed by the FIA and Passport Office officials present at the hearing. The petitioner’s lawyer contended that as a British citizen, the woman cannot be restricted from traveling abroad, and her name should be removed from the PCL.
The government’s lawyer assured the court that a decision would be made within three days. Following this assurance, the court disposed of the petition, directing that the matter be resolved promptly.
