Court Issues Arrest Warrant for Bushra Bibi in 190 Million Pound Case

Islamabad: An accountability court has upheld the non-bailable arrest warrant for Bushra Bibi, the wife of former Prime Minister Imran Khan, in the 190 million pound corruption reference. The court issued fresh notices for the execution of the warrant.
Judge Nasir Javed Rana presided over the hearing of the case at Adiala Jail, which involved Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi. While Imran Khan was presented in court, Bushra Bibi failed to appear for the hearing. Furthermore, the accused have not yet submitted their responses to the questions posed under Section 342 of the Criminal Procedure Code.
The court has ordered the arrest of Bushra Bibi and directed authorities to present her at the next hearing. The case proceedings have been adjourned until Monday, December 9.
Speaking outside the court, Advocate Faisal Chaudhry urged the Chief Justice to take notice of the ongoing legal violations and immediate action on the firing incident at D-Chowk. He also called for the judiciary to address the disrespect shown towards court orders.
