Islamabad: Duty Magistrate Kamran Zaheer Abbasi has canceled the arrest warrants for Shanze Malik. The District and Sessions Courts Islamabad heard the case involving Shakil Tanoli, who was killed in a car accident in the jurisdiction of Police Station Khanna. Shanze Malik had filed a petition requesting the cancellation of non-bailable arrest warrants and the rectification of the charges against her.
Accompanied by her lawyer, Advocate Muhammad Siddique Awan, Shanze Malik appeared in court and argued that the charges against her included reckless driving and attempted murder. She highlighted that the Lahore High Court had granted her protective bail, and requested the court to review and correct the charges.
Prosecutor Rana Hassan Abbas raised objections regarding the magistrate’s jurisdiction during the proceedings.
Magistrate Kamran Zaheer Abbasi ruled that Shanze Malik’s protective bail had been granted by the Lahore High Court. According to the high court’s decision, Malik holds a valid driving license and the charges of reckless driving are bailable. Consequently, the court revoked her arrest warrants.
The court approved Shanze Malik’s bail application against a bond of thirty thousand rupees and reserved its decision on the rectification of the charges.
