Corruption and Irregularities in BISE Quetta Examination Results: Students’ Futures at Stake

Quetta:The Balochistan Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) has come under severe criticism for widespread irregularities and corruption in the examination results, which are detrimental to the future of students. The board, the only intermediate board in Balochistan, is allegedly involved in various corrupt practices, including inflating exam results in exchange for money and recommendations, as well as issuing fake certificates. These actions are considered a major blow to the province’s educational system.
The student organization has received numerous complaints from students regarding the recent examination results, with reports of money being exchanged for grade increases, which unjustly benefits certain students while depriving deserving candidates. This has raised concerns over the growing corruption within BISE Balochistan, which is now crossing all limits.
Balochistan’s educational system has been struggling with numerous challenges, including the closure of schools, colleges, and several university campuses. Even those institutions that are operational are on the brink of collapse, lacking basic facilities and qualified teachers. Despite these obstacles, students from remote areas of Balochistan travel to major cities to receive education at private institutions, with parents working hard to support their children’s education.
However, the ongoing corruption within government educational institutions is causing severe harm to students and is regarded as a serious crime. These institutions, funded by public money, are instead serving the interests of a few while exploiting the students and undermining the educational system.
The education system in Balochistan, already in crisis, is facing further harm due to this corruption. The practice of inflating exam results and issuing fake certificates not only violates the rights of students but also poses a long-term national risk by ruining the future of several generations.
As a representative student organization, we call on educational authorities to investigate these issues thoroughly and take action to stop these grave crimes. We demand that deserving students in Balochistan be given the justice they deserve. If these problems are not addressed, we, as defenders of Balochistan’s educational rights, will continue to raise our voices and take necessary actions, including protests, against any form of injustice.
