Convoy of 70 Vehicles Carrying Essential Goods Reaches Kurram District

Islamabad:A convoy of 70 vehicles carrying essential food items, medicines, sugar, flour, ghee, and other daily use goods has arrived in Parachinar, Kurram District. After a one-day pause, the second convoy has also arrived, leading to a noticeable drop in the prices of these goods.

However, residents have raised concerns over the lack of fuel supply for petrol and diesel, which has left them stranded in their areas. This disruption has made it difficult for people to transport patients to hospitals.

Assistant Commissioner Afrasiab Zubair Hindal has stated that efforts are ongoing to open roads and implement all provisions of the peace agreement.

Health Advisor Ihtisham Ali mentioned that, until land routes are restored, medicines will be sent via helicopter.

Meanwhile, it is expected that the demolition of bunkers in Kurram will resume today. A tribal Jirga, involving signatories of the peace agreement and members of peace committees, is also expected within three days to finalize the process of weapon collection.
