Collapse of Mine Roof in Khost Coal Mine Claims Life of Miner

Harnai:A tragic incident occurred at the Khost coal mine when a mine roof collapsed during mining activities, leading to the death of a miner. According to rescue sources, the accident took place when a large chunk of rock fell on miner Khairullah, instantly killing him on the spot.

The miners, however, managed to recover his body with their own efforts and transported it to the Rural Health Center in Shahrag for further assistance. The deceased miner has been identified as Khairullah, a resident of Kili Mardan, Shahrag.

Rescue officials have completed the necessary formalities and handed over the body to the family. Following the incident, local residents have emphasized the urgent need to improve safety measures in the mining industry to prevent further fatalities and ensure the safety of workers during operations.

This tragic accident highlights ongoing concerns about worker safety in the province’s mining sector, where incidents like these remain all too common.
