Cold Weather to Persist in Mountainous Areas of Pakistan

Quetta:According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department, **severe cold** will continue in the **mountainous regions** of the country, especially during the early mornings and late nights.

In the latest temperature reports, **Quetta** recorded a **minimum temperature of -5°C**, while **Ziarat** also saw a **low of -5°C**. **Subi** registered a minimum of **3°C**, and **Nokundi** experienced a chill of **1°C**.

In the coastal regions of **Balochistan**, **Gwadar** recorded a **low of 13°C**, while **Jiwani** experienced a slightly higher temperature of **14°C**. The **city of Turbat** saw a minimum temperature of **9°C**.

The meteorological department has warned the public, especially those in mountainous areas, to remain cautious and take necessary precautions as the cold weather is expected to persist for the coming days.

Residents in areas prone to **low temperatures** are advised to keep warm and prepare for **chilly mornings and evenings**. The department also highlighted that such weather conditions are common during this time of year and can affect daily life, particularly in high-altitude regions.
