Cold and Dry Weather Expected Across Pakistan; Snowfall and Rain Likely in Mountainous Regions
ISLAMABAD: The weather in Pakistan on Wednesday, 11th December 2024, is expected to remain cold and dry in most parts of the country, with harshly cold conditions in the mountainous areas during the morning and night. However, light rain and snowfall are likely in parts of Gilgit-Baltistan, upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Azad Kashmir, and adjoining hilly regions.
In the plains of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and the Pothohar region, dense fog is expected during the morning hours, while light mist or fog may persist in some parts of southern Punjab and upper Sindh.
According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department, cold and dry conditions prevailed over most of the country over the past 24 hours, with extremely cold weather in the hilly areas. In particular, areas of Gilgit-Baltistan and upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, including Kohistan, Chitral, Dir, Swat, Battagram, Mansehra, and Abbottabad, are expected to witness rainfall and snowfall.

Leh: -13°C
Skardu: -7°C
Gupis: -7°C
Kalam: -6°C
Quetta: -5°C
Gilgit: -5°C
Murree: -4°C
Hunza: -3°C
Weather experts predict that cold and dry conditions will continue across Pakistan in the coming days, especially in the northern and western regions.
