Cold and Dry Weather Expected Across Pakistan, Light Rain and Snowfall in Mountainous Areas

Islamabad:The weather across most parts of the country is expected to remain cold and dry, with the possibility of severe cold in the hilly areas. According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department, light rain and snowfall are likely in certain locations of Gilgit-Baltistan, upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Kashmir, and surrounding mountainous regions.

In the plains of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and the Pothohar region, fog is expected during the early hours of the morning, while light mist is likely in some areas of southern Punjab and upper Sindh.

The federal capital, Islamabad, and its surrounding areas are expected to experience cold weather with a partly cloudy sky. In the hill stations of Murree, Galyat, and nearby areas, the weather will remain very cold with the possibility of light rain and snowfall. Light rain and snow are also expected in regions such as Kohistan, Chitral, Dir, Swat, Battagram, Mansehra, and Abbottabad.

Similarly, Azad Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan will experience severe cold weather, with light rain and snowfall at some places. In Sindh, particularly in cities like Sukkur, Kashmore, Jacobabad, Mohenjo Daro, and their surroundings, light fog is expected during the early morning hours.

Residents of these areas are advised to take necessary precautions against the cold weather, and travelers in mountainous regions should be cautious due to the likelihood of snow on roads.
