Cm Balochistan Sarfraz Bugti to Launch Green and Pink Buses for Better Travel Facilities

Quetta (Qudrat Daily) – Chief Minister of Balochistan, Mir Sarfraz Bugti , has directed that the Green and Pink buses be launched on the roads soon to provide better transportation facilities for the public.
During a review meeting chaired by the Chief Minister on the progress and implementation of the Public Sector Development Program (PSDP), concerns were raised regarding the delay in the release of development funds for Balochistan from the federal PSDP. Minister for Planning and Development, Mir Zahoor Bledi, briefed the Chief Minister on the situation.
In response, Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti decided to write a letter to the Prime Minister of Pakistan immediately, urging the release of funds for key projects such as the Kachhi Canal, whose funding has been delayed. The Chief Minister instructed all relevant departments to provide details on the fund releases for federal projects.
The meeting was attended by provincial ministers, including Mir Zahoor Ahmed Bledi (Minister for Development and Planning), Mir Muhammad Sadiq Umarani (Minister for Irrigation), Sardar Kohyar Khan Domki (Minister for Industries), and Mir Shoaib Noshiwani (Minister for Finance). Additionally, Chief Secretary Shakil Qadir Khan, Additional Chief Secretary for Home Shahabuddin, Additional Chief Secretary for Development Hafiz Abdul Basit, and various departmental secretaries participated.
The Chief Minister emphasized expediting the implementation of all development projects and set strict timelines for their completion, directing that 90% of projects be completed before June this year. He also instructed the Finance Department to ensure the prompt release of funds for approved projects and recommended improvements to the current finance laws to remove barriers to the timely disbursement of funds.
To streamline the process, the Chief Minister established a committee, headed by Minister for Development and Planning Mir Zahoor Bledi, to review and improve fund release procedures. The committee will submit its recommendations within a week.
Expressing satisfaction with the improvements in health services, the Chief Minister directed the Health Department to accelerate the construction of the Gambat-style hospital in Naseerabad and ensure its timely inauguration. He also expressed dissatisfaction with the performance of the Forestry Department and called for action against responsible officers due to a lack of preparation in their presentation at the meeting.
The Chief Minister ordered the immediate release of funds for the development of the Press Club in Turbat and Press Club in Jafarabad, with a directive to complete both projects by June this year.
Mir Sarfraz Bugti emphasized that most of Balochistan’s problems could be addressed by aligning the PSDP book with public needs. He stressed the need for transparency and sustainable development projects that cater to the public’s requirements. The Chief Minister reiterated the commitment to working for the betterment of ordinary citizens and ensuring that future governments focus on public welfare.
Furthermore, he assured that 100% of approved schemes would be included in the upcoming budget and called for comprehensive proposals to improve the quality of life for minorities in Balochistan.
