CM Balochistan Sardar Sarfraz Bugti Pledges to Bring Peace and Development to All Districts of Balochistan
Gandawah:Balochistan Chief Minister, Mir Sardar Sarfraz Khan Bugti, has vowed to transform all districts of Balochistan into hubs of peace, similar to Jhal Magsi, and work towards eradicating terrorism by educating the youth. He made these remarks while addressing a group of local journalists at the Jhal Magsi Desert Jeep Race Rally. The event was attended by Provincial Minister Nawabzada Tariq Khan Magsi, Provincial Minister for Irrigation, Mir Sadiq Khan Umrani, Members of the National Assembly Nawabzada Khalid Khan Magsi, Mir Jamal Khan Raisani, Provincial Minister for Revenue, Mir Asim Kard Gilo, and several other dignitaries.
During his address, CM Bugti emphasized that the Jhal Magsi Desert Jeep Race Rally not only promotes peace and brotherhood among the people but also provides a great opportunity for tourism and recreation. He expressed his delight at witnessing such a large-scale event in Jhal Magsi and praised the local community for their consistent peace-loving and patriotic spirit. He highlighted that the people of Jhal Magsi had made numerous sacrifices for the country and would continue to play a key role in the development of Balochistan.
“The event held here is not just local, but an international-level event for Balochistan and the entire country,” CM Bugti remarked. He later addressed a tribal Jirga (council) of the district, where he reaffirmed the Baloch people’s reputation as hospitable and peaceful, with a rich heritage of unique traditions.
Bugti stated, “We will address the issues of deprivation and focus on making our youth well-educated. Our goal is to send them to top educational institutions such as Oxford, and the Balochistan government will provide the necessary funds for their education.” He also announced plans to connect the district headquarters of Gandawah with the national grid, providing modern electricity facilities by establishing a 132kV grid station.
Furthermore, the CM pledged to expand the Irrigation Department and complete the Kachi Canal project, which would benefit small farmers and landowners. “We will solve the people’s problems at their doorsteps,” he promised. He also announced an immediate grant of 10 crore rupees for the MC (Municipal Corporation) of Jhal Magsi.
CM Bugti also condemned the small group of terrorists attempting to disrupt the peace of Balochistan, saying, “A few militants are trying to create unrest by blocking roads and imposing their views through force, but we will make this province a symbol of peace.” He thanked the people and tribal leaders for their continued support and, as a gesture of appreciation, presented them with traditional gifts of caps and ajraks (embroidered shawls).
