CM Balochistan Mir Sarfaraz Bugti Addresses Media on Jaffar Express Attack and Federal Government Support

In a media briefing alongside federal ministers, Chief Minister of Balochistan, Mir Sarfaraz Bugti, stated that the unidentified militants killed in the Jaffar Express attack have been buried through the Edhi Foundation. He emphasized that these bodies, being unidentifiable, were buried as a precautionary measure. For those bodies that are being identified, the heirs can receive them through legal procedures.

Mir Bugti condemned the ongoing insurgency and referred to the current situation as extraordinary, asserting that those involved in this conflict would face the consequences. He further clarified that these militants are attempting to break Pakistan apart, but both the federal and provincial governments aim to avoid causing problems for the common citizens.

The Chief Minister also confirmed that Prime Minister’s initiatives for Balochistan will continue, with a focus on supporting the province’s development. He shared that he had a meeting with federal ministers, during which 47 key points were discussed, and further meetings are scheduled every two months. He also assured that the funding for the solar tube well project from the federal government would be received by April. Federal Minister for Finance, Federal Minister for Energy, Sardar Owais Laghari, and Shaza Fatima were also present at the press conference.
