CM Balochistan Mir Sardar Sarfaraz Buggti Presides Over Provincial Cabinet Meeting; Key Decisions Taken for Development

Quetta: A provincial cabinet meeting was held under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Balochistan, Mir Sardar Sarfaraz Buggti, at the Chief Minister Secretariat on Thursday. The cabinet approved several important decisions aimed at improving governance, agriculture, and public services.

Key decisions include the approval of the **Digital Land Settlement** project, which will computerize all land records to ensure transparency and easy access. The cabinet also agreed on **relief for farmers** by providing tax exemptions on agricultural produce from the Kachhi Canal to support the agricultural sector’s growth.

Further, the **Balochistan Water Resources Management Bill** was approved to ensure the efficient and effective use of water resources. The government also decided to implement a law to transition agricultural tube wells to **solar energy**. A new **fishing and aquaculture policy** was approved to modernize the fishing sector, while the **Balochistan Disposal of Motor Vehicles Rules 2025** were passed to streamline the buying, selling, and registration of vehicles with greater transparency.

The cabinet also approved an **additional grant for the restoration of Cadet College Jaffarabad**, which was affected by the floods, and decided to make better use of the available infrastructure for educational advancement. The establishment of a **Food Authority Laboratory** was also approved.

To enhance security, the cabinet decided to set up two new **police stations in Jaffarabad** and also appointed a judge for the **Anti-Terrorism Court in Khuzdar**. The meeting also included the approval of **65 million rupees in funds** for the **Public Health Engineering Department**.

Speaking at the meeting, Chief Minister Mir Sardar Fazal Buggti emphasized the heavy responsibility on the cabinet to meet the public’s expectations and resolve the issues faced by the people. He urged all cabinet members to review their departments’ performance and take further steps for improvement. He stressed the need for sincere efforts to secure a bright future for the next generation of Balochistan.
