CM Balochistan Calls for Awareness on AIDS, Urges Collective Efforts to Combat the Disease

QUETTA:Chief Minister of Balochistan, Mir Sarfraz Bugti, has stressed the need to raise awareness about AIDS and its prevention. In a statement issued on the occasion of World AIDS Day, observed on December 1st, he emphasized the importance of educating the public about HIV/AIDS, its causes, testing, treatment, and dispelling misconceptions surrounding the disease.

The Chief Minister noted that the goal of World AIDS Day is to provide comprehensive information about HIV/AIDS to the general public, raise awareness, and combat the stigma associated with it. He also expressed concern over the increasing number of AIDS patients and stressed the need for urgent action to address this growing issue.

Mir Sarfraz Bugti reaffirmed that the provincial government will support all efforts aimed at preventing the spread of AIDS. He called on civil society, media representatives, and religious leaders to play an active role in spreading awareness and developing a unified strategy to tackle the disease.

He emphasized that healthcare is a fundamental right and urged everyone to work together to eradicate AIDS from the country and society through collective efforts.
