Chinese Consul General Condemns Attack on Jaffer Express in Balochistan

In Karachi, the Chinese Consul General, Yang Yudong, strongly condemned the recent attack on the Jaffer Express in Balochistan, stating that China is closely monitoring the situation. He expressed deep sympathy to the families of the victims, condemning the terrorist attack in the strongest terms.
The Consul General emphasized that China opposes all forms of terrorism, reaffirming China’s clear stance on this issue. He also expressed full support for Pakistan’s efforts to combat terrorism and eliminate terrorist networks.
“We are hopeful that Pakistan, with the cooperation of its people and the international community, will be able to dismantle the terrorist networks,” he added.
Furthermore, the Chinese Consul General highlighted the significance of 2025 as an important year for the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), stressing that progress on CPEC projects will continue to be made in a favorable environment based on the achievements of the past few decades. He mentioned that CPEC will foster greater cooperation between business communities of both countries and enhance connectivity between their people.
It is important to note that a few days ago, terrorists attacked the Jaffer Express traveling from Quetta to Balochistan in the Bolan area, resulting in the martyrdom of 21 passengers. Additionally, four soldiers lost their lives during the operation against the terrorists.
