According to sources, Finance Minister Mohammad Orangzeb and Energy Minister Owais Leghari are currently on a tour of China where progress has been made regarding the power plants running on imported coal.
The three power plants using imported coal are among the most expensive electricity producers in Pakistan, including the 1320 MW Sahiwal Coal Power Plant, the 1320 MW Hub Power Plant, and the 1320 MW Port Qasim Power Plant.
