Child Killed in Wedding Firing Incident in Karachi, Case Filed Against Police Officer and Others

Karachi: A case has been registered against a police officer, the groom, and his associates following the tragic death of a child due to aerial firing during a wedding celebration in the Musa Lane area of Karachi. According to police, the officer involved in the firing, identified as Aftab, has been arrested. The case includes seven named individuals.

Police reports indicate that during the wedding ceremony at the Docks Police quarters, weapons including an SMG, 9mm, and .30 bore were fired. Aftab is reportedly stationed at the Karachi Police Chief’s office.

In addition, a second case related to the child’s death has been registered at the Baghdadi Police Station. The groom and his associates continued firing at the Docks Police quarters, and police have recovered several spent cartridges from the scene.

Police have stated that the location of the aerial firing and the place where the child was killed are approximately one kilometer apart. Investigations into all aspects of the case are ongoing.
