Child Dies After Electrocution at Lahore Teaching Hospital

Lahore:A tragic incident occurred at a teaching hospital in Lahore when a child, who had accompanied his father to seek treatment for his mother, was electrocuted and died. According to the family, the incident took place in the hospital’s grounds where the child came into contact with an electrical current. The parents claimed that the emergency room doctors did not provide immediate attention, leading to the child’s untimely death.

In response to the incident, the affected family staged a protest on GT Road, placing the child’s body on the road as a form of demonstration. The police reported that the family has filed a formal complaint at Shahdara Police Station, seeking to register a case over the tragic death. The authorities have yet to comment on the exact cause of the electrocution or the hospital’s response to the incident.
