Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Pushes for Public-Private Partnerships in Technical Education

Islamabad:In a significant move towards enhancing technical education, Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz has directed the promotion of public-private partnerships in the TEVTA projects. According to the market demand, new courses in international languages will be introduced across TEVTA institutions.

Under Maryam Nawaz’s leadership, a comprehensive review was conducted to finalize TEVTA’s mapping plan, aimed at aligning it with international market standards. The establishment of Punjab Overseas Employment Promoting Authority was also unanimously approved during the session.

Furthermore, the approval has been granted to establish 45 welding workshops in 9 cities, reinforcing the technical skills base across Punjab. In an effort to address the shortage of human resources in TEVTA, the hiring of 1,000 employees has been proposed.

Maryam Nawaz emphasized the urgent need for technical training courses to boost economic growth and mitigate unemployment challenges. These initiatives mark a proactive step towards bolstering Punjab’s technical education infrastructure and enhancing employment opportunities.
