Quetta: The Chief Minister of Balochistan, Mir Sarfraz Bugti, met with Mr. Mark Bristow, President and Chief Executive Officer of Barrick Gold Corporation, at the Chief Minister’s Secretariat. The meeting focused on the ongoing assistance projects in mining and the province.
During the discussion, Chief Minister Bugti expressed keen interest in promoting foreign investment in Balochistan, affirming the provincial government’s capability to provide effective security and protection to foreign investors. He highlighted that collaborative efforts between federal and provincial governments are underway to facilitate foreign investment through global and national projects, aiming to ensure a prosperous future for Balochistan and Pakistan.
Bugti emphasized the establishment of a comprehensive security plan for foreign investment projects, with the deployment of security forces already initiated for the protection of non-native ventures.
