Quetta:Chief Minister Balochistan Mir SarFaraz Bugti has announced to completely depoliticize the police force in the province.
Speaking in the assembly on the discussion of peace and security, the Chief Minister emphasized the need to establish peace, eliminate killings and looting incidents, and address cases of theft and robbery by ensuring that the police remain completely non-political.
On this occasion, he expressed his determination not to interfere in police matters and instructed the Inspector General of Police (IGP) that political interference in the police will not be tolerated henceforth.
Sardar Faraz Bugti instructed the IGP to make appointments of police officers according to his discretion for the betterment of peace and improve security. He emphasized that wherever it is necessary to appoint an SP or DSP, it should be done, but the assembly will also hold accountability for any mistakes.
