Quetta:Chief Minister of Balochistan Mir Sardar SaFraz Bugti has lauded the solar energy project aimed at transferring over 27,000 agricultural tube wells to solar power, providing relief to stakeholders in the agricultural sector. Addressing a ceremony at Governor House Quetta on Monday, Bugti extended gratitude to Prime Minister and federal government for their cooperation in the solarization agreements between federal and provincial authorities. He emphasized that this initiative will alleviate longstanding electricity issues for landowners in Balochistan, ensuring sustainable relief through permanent foundations.
Bugti noted two crucial developmental projects in Balochistan dropped from the federal PSDP budget, expressing hope these projects will be included in the upcoming fiscal year’s budget for public benefit. He underlined the severity of environmental changes in Balochistan, stressing ongoing measures to combat these challenges. Bugti called for Balochistan’s inclusion in federal decision-making and policy formation, particularly regarding solarization initiatives.
Acknowledging Prime Minister Mohammad Shehbaz Sharif’s assistance, Bugti hailed the solarization project as pivotal for agricultural advancement in Balochistan.
