Quetta:In Quetta, the Chief Minister of Balochistan, Mir Sanaullah Zehri, held a meeting with Mr. Mark Bristow, President and CEO of Barrick Gold Corporation, at the Chief Minister’s Secretariat. The meeting focused on discussing ongoing assistance projects related to mining in Balochistan province.
During the meeting, the Chief Minister expressed keenness towards promoting foreign investment in Balochistan, highlighting the province’s capability to provide effective security and protection to foreign investors. He emphasized that Balochistan and Pakistan’s bright future is linked with global and national investment projects, with joint efforts underway between federal and provincial governments to facilitate foreign investment.
The Chief Minister mentioned that a comprehensive security plan has been formulated for foreign investment projects, with recruitment completed in the Levies Force. He stressed the need to highlight the beneficial activities of Barrick Gold Corporation and called for the establishment of an effective communication strategy to promote public awareness about development projects. Completion of development projects will elevate the standard of living for the people.
In response, the President and CEO of Barrick Gold Corporation thanked Chief Minister Balochistan for his collaboration. He assured that the provincial government and Barrick Gold Corporation will continue their joint efforts towards initiatives aimed at improving the welfare and prosperity of the public.
