Chicken Prices Continue to Drop, Providing Relief to Consumers

Lahore:The price of chicken continues to decrease, with a reduction of 60 rupees per kilogram over the past four days. According to the latest government price list, the price of chicken meat has dropped by an additional 15 rupees per kilogram today, bringing the price down to 417 rupees per kilogram.

In line with the trend, the price of live broiler chicken has also decreased by 10 rupees per kilogram today, providing some relief to consumers grappling with inflation. After this drop, the wholesale price of live broiler chicken has fallen to 274 rupees per kilogram, while the retail price is now set at 288 rupees per kilogram.

In Multan, the wholesale price of live broiler chicken stands at 272 rupees per kilogram, and the retail price is 286 rupees per kilogram. Chicken meat is being sold at 413 rupees per kilogram, while eggs are priced at 344 rupees per dozen.

Yesterday, the price of chicken meat in Islamabad was 450 rupees per kilogram, while farm eggs were priced at 360 rupees per dozen. In Lahore, the government price list has kept the price of farm eggs steady at 350 rupees per dozen.

This continued decline in chicken prices is expected to bring some relief to consumers amidst rising living costs.
