Chaman:Today, the issuance of identity cards resumes at the Chaman border with Afghanistan, announced Advocate Malik Anayat Kasi. All legitimate demands of Chaman Perlite have been acknowledged, following 304 days of ongoing protests, he addressed on Sunday.
Malik Anayat Kasi stated that the demands of Chaman Perlite have been accepted, and from today, arrivals at the Pakistan-Afghan border in Chaman will require identity cards and documentation. Mobile vans will arrive in Chaman to issue identity cards to local residents up to 18 years old who do not possess them. Until they receive their cards, they will be allowed to cross the border using identity tokens.
He mentioned that identity cards and documentation from Chaman and Spin Boldak will be accepted for crossing both sides of the border. No other areas’ residents will be allowed to cross the border through legal means. He added that any negotiations with the government will be done exclusively with the Lughri Alliance, with no discussions regarding border issues with any tribe or country. Livestock such as sheep, goats, and cows will be permitted to cross both sides of the border.
Furthermore, no permission will be granted to transport any other animals. Chaman Perlite officials who have been provided with the authority will uphold the integrity of the documents provided and continue to serve the public as ordinary citizens of Chaman.
