Chairman Senate, Syed Yousaf Raza Gillani Appointed Founding Chairman of Inter-Parliamentary Speakers Conference (ISC)

Islamabad:Chairman of the Senate of Pakistan, Syed Yousaf Raza Gillani, has been named the founding chairman of the Inter-Parliamentary Speakers Conference (ISC). This prestigious global forum, based in Seoul, South Korea, is dedicated to promoting parliamentary dialogue, advancing sustainable development goals, and enhancing international cooperation on pressing global challenges such as climate change, renewable energy, and water scarcity.

This significant decision was made during Chairman Gillani’s recent successful visit to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The announcement coincides with the upcoming World Summit 2025, which will be held under the auspices of the Universal Peace Federation (UPF) in Seoul. The summit will bring together 500 delegates from 150 countries, including 45 parliamentary speakers.

In recognition of his visionary leadership, Chairman Gillani was also presented with a special award during the event. His appointment as the founding chairman of the ISC highlights Pakistan’s growing influence in global parliamentary forums and its commitment to addressing the critical issues facing the world today.
