Chairman Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Bilawal Bhutto Zardari Calls for Bilateral Resolution of Pakistan-Afghanistan Issues
Islamabad:During a press conference in Peshawar, Chairman Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Bilawal Bhutto Zardari stated that Pakistan and Afghanistan should resolve their issues bilaterally, as it is in the interest of both countries.
Responding to a question, he mentioned that if he were the Foreign Minister, he would have definitely visited Kabul, but issues are usually resolved through diplomatic channels.
Continuing his remarks, Bilawal Bhutto recalled the symbolic moment of having tea in Afghanistan, noting that when the Taliban took control in Afghanistan, then ISI Director General Lt. Gen. Faiz Hameed had visited Kabul, and his image drinking tea at a local spot had gone viral.
The image of Lt. Gen. Faiz Hameed sparked extensive discussions both within and outside the country, with Indian media also running propaganda campaigns against Pakistan.
