Islamabad:Dr. Raghib Hussain Naeemi, Chairman of the Islamic Ideological Council, has emphasized that declaring someone liable to be killed is both illegal and against Islamic law. In a statement released from the council’s office, Dr. Naeemi stated that such emotional actions undermine the sanctity of the Prophet Muhammad’s mission. He stressed that neither individuals nor groups have the authority, either religiously or legally, to issue verdicts or judgments for murder outside of the established judicial process. Pakistan, he affirmed, is a constitutional Islamic state where all forms of crimes carry prescribed penalties delivered through due legal procedures.
