Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee to Meet on May 27 for Dhu al-Hijjah Moon Sighting

The **Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee** will convene on **May 27** at the **Ministry of Religious Affairs** to observe the sighting of the **Dhu al-Hijjah moon**.

According to a spokesperson for the Ministry of Religious Affairs, the meeting will be chaired by **Abdul Khabeer Azad**, the Chairman of the **Ruet-e-Hilal Committee**.

Meanwhile, **zonal and district-level Ruet-e-Hilal committees** will hold their respective meetings at the designated locations across the country. The **final announcement** regarding the sighting of the moon will be made by the **Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee**.

The moon sighting holds significant importance for marking the beginning of **Dhu al-Hijjah**, the twelfth month of the Islamic calendar, which leads up to the annual **Hajj pilgrimage** and the celebration of **Eid al-Adha**.
