Canal Breaches in Naseerabad Division Contained: Irrigation Secretary

Quetta:Provincial Secretary of Irrigation, Hafiz Abdul Majid, announced that three separate breaches occurred this morning in canals within the Naseerabad Division. The breaches were in the Pat Feeder Canal, Manjhoti Canal, and at RD 70 near Ooch.

Hafiz Abdul Majid stated that the breaches have been successfully repaired through the efforts of the Irrigation Department and district administration. He added that discussions with the Sindh government have been held to reduce water flow from the Guddu Barrage promptly, aiming to better control the situation.

He further emphasized that all irrigation officers and staff have been instructed to remain on high alert to manage any further issues effectively.
