Karachi: Bushra Iqbal, the former wife of renowned television host and religious scholar Amir Liaquat, has successfully obtained a fatwa against his third wife, Dania Shah. In a public notice shared on social media, Iqbal has requested all media platforms and their followers to refrain from referring to Dania Shah as Amir Liaquat’s widow.
The fatwa states that Dania Shah had officially divorced Amir Liaquat before his passing, thus disqualifying her from being called his widow. The notice further claims that there is no record of their marriage in the NADRA system, and she is not entitled to any inheritance from him. Additionally, it was noted that Dania Shah has since married Hakim Shahzad.
This announcement comes after Bushra Iqbal and her daughter filed a case against Dania Shah, alleging that she created and circulated inappropriate videos following Amir Liaquat’s death, attributing his demise to her actions. However, the court granted bail to Shah in this matter.
