Bushra Bibi Refuses to Follow Imran Khan’s Advice Amid Ongoing Talks with Government
Islamabad:Bushra Bibi, the wife of the founder of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), Imran Khan, has refused to follow her husband’s advice regarding the ongoing political situation. While Imran Khan has agreed to one of the government’s proposals and is willing to continue negotiations, Bushra Bibi disagreed with the suggestion of moving the protest venue from D-Chowk.
Sources reveal that during a recent meeting, Imran Khan recorded a video message for his wife, Ali Amin Gandapur, and party workers, expressing his stance on the ongoing political developments. PTI leaders briefed him about the discussions with the government delegation, which included an agreement to keep communication open and continue talks for a potential breakthrough.
However, while Imran Khan showed flexibility and agreed to consider an alternative protest location, Bushra Bibi was adamant that the protest must be held at D-Chowk. She expressed concerns that certain “conspiratorial elements” were attempting to divert the protest to a different location, away from D-Chowk.
Bushra Bibi emphasized that Imran Khan had instructed her to ensure the protest takes place at D-Chowk, as any alternative decision would not be acceptable to PTI’s supporters. Meanwhile, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur, who initially opposed going to D-Chowk, later joined the march towards Islamabad’s Red Zone.
The situation remains fluid as the party and government continue their negotiations, with both sides seeking a resolution.
