Bushra Bibi Appeals to Judges and Lawyers to Join PTI’s November 24 Protest

Islamabad:The wife of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan, Bushra Bibi, has made a public appeal to judges and lawyers to participate in the upcoming nationwide protest scheduled for November 24. In a video message, she emphasized that Imran Khan is fighting for the supremacy of law and the Constitution in the country, and questioned whether it was not the duty of judges and lawyers to stand in solidarity by joining the protest.

Bushra Bibi conveyed that Imran Khan’s message for November 24 is for people from all walks of life to join the protest, as he believes that the movement will only succeed if it gains the participation of everyone. She added that Imran Khan, who is currently imprisoned, has sent out several strategies for the success of the protest, which would be revealed in due course.

Addressing those suggesting the protest might be postponed for negotiations, Bushra Bibi dismissed such claims as mere propaganda, stating that the protest would go ahead on November 24 without fail. She further clarified that the only way the protest date could be changed would be if Imran Khan were released from prison and could personally address the nation and guide the movement forward.

Bushra Bibi also expressed concern over the oppression faced by PTI workers, calling on law enforcement agencies to remember that those protesting are also their brothers and should not be treated unfairly. She noted that while Imran Khan, like anyone else, wishes to spend time with his family and remain at home, he is in prison for the sake of the nation, standing firm in his fight for justice and constitutional rights.

She criticized the petitions being filed in courts to prevent PTI from holding protests, calling it a form of oppression that must be stopped. She urged those in power to refrain from becoming like Yazid, who, despite being a Muslim, became notorious for his oppressive actions out of pride.

Bushra Bibi reaffirmed that Imran Khan, even if released from jail, has no desire for revenge. He is clear that seeking vengeance is equivalent to incurring Allah’s wrath. She rejected the narrative spread by some that Imran Khan seeks revenge upon his release, describing it as a false narrative.

She further stated that within Pakistan’s political system, Imran Khan stands out as a lotus in the mud, symbolizing purity and righteousness amidst the country’s murky politics. While the country’s rulers are engaged in a battle for power, Imran Khan continues to struggle for real freedom for the nation.

Addressing accusations that PTI supporters are chanting slogans like “Jihad,” Bushra Bibi emphasized that such sentiments come directly from the hearts of the people, not from any directive given by PTI leadership.

In her closing remarks, Bushra Bibi said that she had conveyed her husband’s message to the public and left it to the people to decide whether they would join the struggle for true freedom or not. The call for November 24 remains a pivotal moment in Imran Khan’s fight for the supremacy of law and the future of Pakistan’s democratic values.
