Bureaucrat Barrister Saif Urges Political Leaders to Avoid Politicizing PTI-Military Talks

Islamabad:Special Assistant to the Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Barrister Saif, has urged political leaders not to politicize the recent meeting between Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and military leadership. In a statement, Barrister Saif expressed concern that the meeting had caused panic within the camp of Nawaz Sharif, with reports suggesting that Nawaz Sharif had tasked his team with sabotaging the negotiations.
He further stated that efforts to undermine the government’s negotiating committee had already begun, with certain elements actively working against the political stability of the country.
Barrister Saif asserted that while PTI is pursuing negotiations for the sake of peace and stability in the country, certain unelected groups are focused on derailing the process in order to protect their illegitimate hold on power.
He also called on government ministers to respect their oaths and refrain from playing politics with the talks between PTI and the military leadership.
