BSO Pajjar Chairman Accuses Balochistan University Management of Corruption and Oppression
Quetta:The central chairman of the Baloch Students Organization (BSO) Pajjar, Boheir Salah Baloch, has strongly criticized the administration of the Balochistan University of Information Technology, Engineering, and Management Sciences (BUITMS) for turning the university into a “military cantonment” and allegedly misusing billions of rupees in funds.
In a statement, Baloch accused the university’s administration of corruption, claiming that despite receiving billions of rupees in funding, students are deprived of basic facilities. He pointed out that even the female students’ hostels lack fundamental amenities, and despite this, the administration has unjustifiably raised hostel fees.
Salah Baloch condemned the administration’s response to student protests, stating that female students had raised concerns through a formal notice, but instead of addressing their issues, the administration resorted to violence, assaulting students. He termed this behavior as unacceptable.
The BSO Pajjar chairman asserted that the organization will not allow the students to bear the burden of the administration’s corrupt practices. “We demand the university administration to correct its course. If this is not done, BSO Pajjar will not hesitate to make any sacrifices in the fight for students’ rights. We will take to the streets in strong protest, both within and outside the university.”
He further emphasized that BSO Pajjar has a constitutional right to defend students’ rights through peaceful democratic means and will continue to do so in the future.
