Mumbai:The severe situation in Bangladesh has prompted Bollywood actress Sonam Kapoor to voice her concern.
Following a month of protests against the quota system in Bangladesh, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina resigned from her position and fled to India. Sheikh Hasina’s resignation came before a deadline set by the Army Chief, leading her to escape to Agartala, India.
Before her resignation, clashes between protesters and police in Bangladesh resulted in nearly 300 deaths, with videos and statements about these incidents widely circulated on social media.
Sonam Kapoor expressed her distress over the situation by sharing a related message on her Instagram story. She described the events as “extremely terrifying” and urged everyone to join in praying for the people of Bangladesh.
