Quetta:Mir Asadullah Baloch, head of the Balochistan National Party (BNP) and member of the provincial assembly, has criticized Chief Minister Balochistan for completely overlooking his constituency in the recent budget. During a press conference at his residence, he stated that after addressing the assembly floor and holding press conferences, he has decided to take legal action, asserting that his constituency cannot be ignored under the Constitution of Pakistan or any law.
Baloch expressed concern that seven billion rupees allocated for Panjgur had been withdrawn from his constituency, emphasizing that his area seems to have been erased from the province’s map. He highlighted that Panjgur has a population of 275,000 and consists of eight union councils, questioning under which law the development funds for his constituency were eliminated.
He criticized the government for failing to address issues such as health, lack of drinking water, and other problems faced by the people of PB 29 Panjgur One, stating that the provincial budget appears to have been prepared in the Chief Minister’s House instead of the Planning and Development Department. Baloch noted that while 64 MPAs received funds, his own were cut.
He called for a comprehensive policy for the country’s development and prosperity, asserting that using force only leads to damage. He highlighted his past achievements in the constituency but lamented the recent cuts to funding.
Furthermore, Baloch condemned the recent murder of BNP leader Agha Khalid in Quetta and demanded the immediate arrest of those involved in the incident. He mentioned that if he does not receive relief from the court regarding the funding issue, he will seek justice from the public court.
