Karachi:Balochistan National Party (BNP) leader Akhtar Mengal has revealed in a YouTube podcast that he voted in favor of extending the tenure of General Qamar Javed Bajwa, the former Chief of Army Staff, in exchange for the release of 50 missing persons.

He explained that this action was part of a compromise, resulting in the fulfillment of their demands and the recovery of several individuals who had been missing. Mengal’s disclosure sheds light on the negotiations that took place during that period, where political and human rights concerns were addressed in return for support in military matters.
