BNP Condemns Balochistan Assembly’s Resolution to Ban PTI, Questions Future Political Alignments
Quetta/Islamabad:The Balochistan National Party (BNP) has strongly condemned the Balochistan Assembly’s recent resolution calling for a ban on Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI). In a statement on the social media platform X, former Federal Minister and BNP’s central information secretary, Agha Hassan Baloch, criticized the decision, stating that the lawmakers who approved the resolution should have considered the possibility of joining PTI in the future, as they lack a clear ideology or vision.
Baloch further expressed the party’s opposition to the proposed measures, including the potential imposition of governor’s rule in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. He argued that such actions were undemocratic and urged all political factions to prioritize national stability over political vendettas. The BNP emphasized that these steps could harm Pakistan’s democratic process and political coherence.
