BNP (A) Calls for Immediate Action on Missing Persons Issue on International Human Rights Day
Quetta:On the occasion of **International Human Rights Day**, the **Central Spokesperson** of **Balochistan National Party (BNP)**, **Anwar Baloch**, issued a central statement highlighting the party’s continued struggle for the recovery of missing persons in **Balochistan** and across the country. The party firmly believes that the issue of missing persons and the violation of human rights in **Balochistan** is of paramount importance. The families of the missing persons have been waiting for decades for the return of their loved ones, and immediate action is needed to resolve this issue.
The statement further emphasized that the **Central President** of BNP (A), **Mir Israrullah Zehri**, has always maintained a principled stance and has actively fulfilled his political responsibilities in the quest for the recovery of missing persons. The party’s position has always been clear and unequivocal: the missing persons should be brought to the forefront immediately to reduce the unrest and anxiety prevalent among the people.
The statement also noted that rather than resorting to excessive use of force, the path of dialogue should be pursued to avoid further frustration and distrust among the public. Ongoing unconstitutional and extrajudicial actions in **Balochistan** and across the country are blatant violations of human rights, the Constitution of Pakistan, and international laws set by the **United Nations**.
The party’s statement stressed the need to end human rights abuses. BNP (A) has consistently raised its voice for the recovery of missing persons in both parliamentary and non-parliamentary forums. This issue is not only creating a crisis in **Balochistan**, but it is also contributing to a nationwide crisis, with the use of power worsening the situation.
The spokesperson emphasized that immediate steps are necessary to stop the violations of human rights in the **Baloch** and **Pashtun** areas of the country. As a parliamentary and national party, BNP (A) will continue its political struggle and reiterate its demand for an immediate and sustainable solution to the issue of missing persons. The party believes that the problems of **Balochistan** can only be resolved through dialogue and democratic means. The excessive use of force will only exacerbate these issues. The current rulers must show seriousness in addressing this matter, or they will themselves be complicit in this ongoing crisis.
