“Barrister Saif Alleges Government Deploying Containers and Forces to Block PTI’s Protest in Islamabad”
Peshawar: Barrister Saif, Advisor for Information in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, has claimed that containers have been dispatched from across Pakistan to Islamabad for the detention of 50 individuals, as the government prepares to tackle the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) protest planned for November 24.
In his response to the government’s crackdown on PTI workers, Barrister Saif accused the administration of being in a state of panic and confusion. He criticized the government’s contradictory actions, stating that while the authorities claimed they could not gather 50 people, they had gone to the extreme of detaining party workers.
“Containers from across Pakistan are being brought to Islamabad for just 50 individuals. This is an attempt to intimidate and suppress the peaceful protests,” he said.
The advisor also revealed that forces from Punjab, Sindh, and Kashmir were being deployed to Islamabad to prevent PTI from reaching the capital, but he emphasized that despite these efforts, PTI would still march on Islamabad and voice their demands.
Barrister Saif further expressed concerns over the government’s tactics, accusing it of undermining democracy and the rule of law. “The so-called ‘fake government’ is terrified and resorting to authoritarian measures. In their obsession with Imran Khan, they are trampling on the Constitution and legal rights of citizens,” he added.
