Barrister Gohar’s Response to Government’s Offer to Postpone Protest

Islamabad: The meeting between PTI leaders and the party’s founder, Imran Khan, at Adiala Jail was unsuccessful, as the leaders were not granted permission to meet. PTI leaders, including Barrister Gohar, Barrister Salman Akram Raja, Shamsi Naqvi, Ali Mohammad Khan, and Sardar Latif Khosa, had arrived at Adiala Jail to meet the PTI chairman, but were unable to do so due to the non-availability of a meeting schedule. After waiting for nearly three hours, the leaders returned without meeting Imran Khan.
Despite the setback, Barrister Gohar remained optimistic. He told reporters that the planned protest would not be postponed, stressing that the purpose of their visit was not achieved. He added, “We came with certain objectives that have not been fulfilled. However, we remain hopeful that once permission for a meeting is granted, we will be able to meet.”
When asked about any offer from the government to delay the protest, Barrister Gohar responded that there were several issues they had hoped to discuss during the meeting.
