Balochistan Traders Association Supports Wheel Jam Strike on November 25 in Protest Against Kidnapping of Minor Student
Quetta :The Central Traders Association of Balochistan has announced its support for a wheel jam strike on November 25 across the province, protesting the continued abduction of a minor student, Musawar Khan Kakar. Despite 10 days passing since his kidnapping, the provincial government, police, and law enforcement agencies have been unable to safely recover Musawar Khan Kakar or bring those responsible to justice.
The traders’ association expressed concern over the growing fear and insecurity in society, especially among the business community. Protests and sit-ins have been ongoing under the leadership of the All Parties and Dera Committee at Union Square, where traders are calling for immediate action. They said such incidents create a negative perception in society and cause mental anguish for the business community.
The association has called on the government and police to urgently secure the release of Musawar Khan Kakar and take serious steps to restore law and order, ensuring the protection of the public’s lives and property. They further emphasized the need for the authorities to take concrete measures to establish peace and security, especially for the business community and the general public.
Since the day of Musawar Khan Kakar’s kidnapping, the Central Traders Association has been actively protesting, with its members taking a leading role in all demonstrations. This was evident during a recent shutter-down strike in Quetta, where the traders showed their solidarity, stating that they are peaceful citizens and demanding the government, police, and law enforcement agencies take decisive action to ensure the protection of public safety.
In a statement, the association called for a successful wheel jam strike on November 25, urging traders, transporters, political and religious parties, trade unions, and other organizations to join in the protest. The aim is to press for the safe recovery of Musawar Khan Kakar and to demonstrate against the growing sense of insecurity in the region.
The Central Traders Association has instructed its district presidents to organize the strike by blocking roads in their respective areas, with specific locations in Quetta, including Belili, Chak Post, and Mian Khundi, set to be focal points for the protest.
The traders are determined to make this wheel jam strike a success to ensure that the authorities take immediate action for the safe return of Musawar Khan Kakar and to restore peace in the region.
