Balochistan High Court Issues Notice on Dr. Mah Rang Baloch’s Arrest

Quetta:The Balochistan High Court has issued a notice on a petition filed against the arrest of Dr. Mah Rang Baloch, the head of the Baloch Unity Committee. The petition was submitted by Dr. Mah Rang Baloch’s sister, Nadia Baloch, who argued that her brother was immediately sent to jail after his arrest, and the process was not in accordance with the legal procedures.
In her petition, Nadia Baloch stated that the charges filed against Dr. Mah Rang did not include his arrest, questioning the legality of the detention. Dr. Mah Rang’s lawyer, Imran Baloch, urged the court to direct government authorities to provide details of the cases filed against him.
A bench consisting of Justice Rozi Khan Badich and Justice Shaukat Rakhshani accepted the petition for hearing and issued notices to the concerned parties. Upon the request of the Advocate General of Balochistan and the Prosecutor General, the court granted a one-week extension and ordered the provision of the case details.
Additionally, the court allowed Dr. Mah Rang Baloch’s relatives and his lawyer to meet with him in jail.
