Balochistan High Court Adjourns Hearing on Gas Pressure Restoration and Extra Bills Case until December 24
QUETTA:The Balochistan High Court heard a case regarding the restoration of gas pressure and the issuance of extra bills, with the bench consisting of Justice Kamran Malakhel and Justice Shaukat Rakhshani. The hearing was attended by the petitioner, Advocate Nazir Agha, concerned citizens, Sui Gas officials, and the Deputy Commissioner.
The petitioner, Advocate Nazir Agha, argued that despite court orders, gas pressure in Quetta had still not been restored. He also pointed out that Sui Gas authorities continued to send inflated bills to the residents.
In response, the Sui Gas officials contended that the reduced gas pressure was due to residents using gas compressors at home. They stated that if the use of compressors was stopped, the gas pressure would return to normal levels.
Advocate Nazir Agha countered that the city required 230 cubic feet of gas per household. He suggested that if the required gas pressure of 230 cubic feet was restored, citizens would stop using gas compressors, thus alleviating the issue.
The court directed Sui Gas authorities to restore the gas pressure and address the issue of extra bills, ordering that the matter be revisited on December 24 for further proceedings.
