Balochistan Health Minister Rejects Talks with Terrorists, Calls for Support of Government

Quetta:Provincial Health Minister, Bakhit Muhammad Kakr, has stated that the Balochistan government will not engage in negotiations with terrorists under any circumstances, but it remains open to dialogue with peaceful citizens at all times. He emphasized that Balochistan is suffering from insecurity due to terrorism, and the lack of development is causing increasing backwardness in the province.
Kakr further explained that those who take to the streets to achieve their goals through protests are not well-wishers of the Baloch people, but are attempting to create instability in the region to please their masters. He made these remarks during a conversation at his residence.
The Minister condemned recent protests by political groups, who, he said, were politicizing the deaths of terrorists and blocking major national highways, including Saryab Road, causing inconvenience to the public. He revealed that police had to use tear gas and shelling to reopen the highways, and many protesters were arrested for disturbing public order. He criticized certain political parties for using these incidents to further their own agendas, stressing that such actions would not be tolerated by the government.
Kakr appealed to the Baloch people to support the government rather than terrorist elements, emphasizing that only through governmental support can the citizens be provided with jobs and development opportunities.
